Notification Settings

Types of Notifications

You may receive notifications for:

  • New appointments booked
  • Appointment cancellations
  • Time off requests (managers)
  • System alerts
  • Account updates

Accessing Notification Settings

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find Notifications
  3. Configure your preferences

Notification Channels

In-App Notifications

  • Appear in the notification bell
  • Visible when you're logged in
  • Red dot indicates unread items

Email Notifications

  • Sent to your account email
  • Good for important updates
  • Arrive even when not logged in

Push Notifications

  • Mobile/browser notifications
  • Immediate alerts
  • Require permission

Configuring Preferences

For each notification type:

  • Toggle on or off
  • Choose delivery method
  • Set frequency preferences

Common Preferences

For Busy Practices

  • Real-time for urgent items
  • Digest/summary for routine updates
  • Minimize interruptions

For Smaller Practices

  • More notifications enabled
  • Immediate delivery
  • Stay closely informed

Role-Based Notifications

Some notifications depend on your role:

  • Admins — System alerts, billing
  • Managers — Time off requests, team updates
  • All — Appointments, basic alerts

Managing Notification Overload

If you receive too many:

  • Turn off non-essential categories
  • Use digest mode where available
  • Focus on what matters most

Testing Notifications

After changing settings:

  • Perform an action that should trigger notification
  • Verify you receive it as expected
  • Adjust if needed
