Month View
What you'll learn: How to use the month view to see your schedule at a glance, navigate between months, and find specific dates.
Understanding Month View
The month view displays a traditional calendar grid:
- Seven columns for each day of the week
- Rows for each week of the month
- Today's date is highlighted
- Events appear on their scheduled dates
What You See on Each Day
Each calendar day shows:
- The date number
- A preview of scheduled events
- Provider availability dots (if enabled)
- Visual indicators for busy days
If there are more events than can be displayed:
- A count shows how many additional events exist
- Click the day to see all events
Navigating Between Months
At the top of the calendar:
- Click the left arrow to go to the previous month
- Click the right arrow to go to the next month
- The current month and year are displayed between the arrows
Viewing a Specific Day
To see all events for a day:
- Click anywhere on that date
- A panel opens showing all events
- Events are listed in time order
- You can add new events from this view
Provider Availability in Month View
When "Availability" is enabled:
- Small colored dots appear on dates
- Each dot color represents a provider
- Multiple dots mean multiple providers are available
- Check the legend to identify which color belongs to which provider
Time Blocks in Month View
Blocked time (like lunch breaks or time off) may appear:
- Usually shown with a different visual style
- Indicates the provider is not available during that time
- Helps you see true availability at a glance
Event Colors
Events are color-coded by type:
- Blue — Appointments
- Green — Phone calls
- Purple — Meetings
- Orange — Tasks
- Teal — Services
This makes it easy to scan the calendar and understand your schedule mix.
Selecting a Date
Click any date to:
- View all events scheduled for that day
- See detailed information about each event
- Add a new event on that date
- Access quick actions for existing events
Today Button
If you've navigated to a different month:
- Look for a "Today" button or indicator
- Click it to return to the current date
- The current date is always highlighted
Tips for Month View
Use provider filtering — When looking for a specific provider's schedule, filter to just their events.
Check availability dots — Before clicking a date, dots tell you which providers are working.
Plan ahead — Scroll through upcoming months to see your schedule and identify gaps.
Watch for busy days — Days with many events may need attention for scheduling conflicts.
