Security Overview

Your practice data is protected by:

  • User authentication
  • Role-based access control
  • Encrypted data storage
  • Audit logging

Password Security

Strong Passwords

Use passwords that are:

  • At least 8 characters
  • Mix of letters, numbers, symbols
  • Unique to this account
  • Not easily guessed

Changing Your Password

  1. Go to your profile settings
  2. Find password or security
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter new password
  5. Confirm and save

Session Management

Your login session:

  • Keeps you logged in for convenience
  • Times out after inactivity
  • Can be ended manually (sign out)
  • Is secure and encrypted

Access Control

Who can see what:

  • Based on your role (Admin, Manager, Employee)
  • Some data is restricted
  • Admins have full access
  • Others have limited access

Audit Trail

All significant actions are logged:

  • Who did what
  • When it happened
  • What changed
  • For compliance and security

  • Encrypted during transmission (HTTPS)
  • Encrypted at rest (storage)

Reporting Security Issues

If you notice something suspicious:

  • Unusual activity in audit logs
  • Access you don't recognize

Best Practices

Log out on shared devices — Don't stay logged in on public computers.

Keep passwords private — Never share your credentials.

Report suspicious activity — Alert admins to concerns.

Update regularly — Change passwords periodically.
