What is the AI Chat Assistant?

What you'll learn: How the in-app AI assistant works, what it can help you with, and how to access it.

Your Intelligent Helper

The AI Chat Assistant is a built-in assistant that understands your practice and can help you work more efficiently. Think of it as a knowledgeable colleague who's always available to help.

Where to Find It

The AI Chat is your home screen when you log in:

  • Click AI Chat in the navigation
  • Or click the home icon
  • The chat interface opens

What It Can Do

Answer Questions About Your Practice

  • "How many appointments do I have today?"
  • "Show me patients who haven't visited in 6 months"
  • "What are my busiest hours?"

Find Information Quickly

  • Search for patients by name
  • Look up appointment details
  • Check your schedule

Help With Tasks

  • Guide you through adding patients
  • Explain how features work
  • Provide quick answers

Provide Insights

  • Summarize activity
  • Highlight important information
  • Help you understand patterns

How It Works

  1. You type or speak a question
  2. The assistant processes your request
  3. It searches your practice data
  4. You receive a helpful response

The assistant understands natural language, so you can ask questions the way you would talk to a colleague.

It Knows Your Practice

The AI is connected to your practice data:

  • Your patient list
  • Your calendar
  • Your communications
  • Your settings

This means it can give you specific, relevant answers rather than generic information.

Privacy and Security

The AI works with your data securely:

  • Only shows information you have access to
  • Follows the same permission rules as the rest of the system
  • Doesn't share data outside your practice

Always Available

The chat assistant is there whenever you need it:

  • No waiting for responses
  • Works any time of day
  • Consistent, reliable help

What It Cannot Do

The in-app assistant is different from your phone assistant:

  • It doesn't answer patient calls
  • It doesn't book appointments directly (it can guide you)
  • It's for staff use, not patient-facing
